In summer you can swim from the lake's beaches, rent a boat or take a cruise to Hautecombe Abbey on the far shore. You can hike up the Dent du Chat, cycle along the water on the ViaRhôna, take the waters at the Aix-les-Bains thermal baths and explore Chambéry's old town. In winter, the Savoie ski resorts are less than an hour away.
